It is designed to withstand impact, and also to shatter into relatively harmless (key word “relatively”) fragments when it does break. I used to work in a wrecking yard back in the day, and from time to time I had the opportunity to break some glass for fun if I wanted. In that yard we had pit-run gravel, which the owner found economical to use instead of regular gravel. I would sometimes hurl the grapefruit sized rocks that were in that gravel at the windows or whatever car was about to go into the crush pile. They often bounced off.

School Nurse Rainbow Nurse shirt .besteestores The key to breaking tempered glass is to start a point of fracture. The best way to do this is to concentrate force into a very small, very hard point. In the wrecking yard some guys advocated using a platinum plated spark plug tip. In my work in emergency services I carry a pair of scissors equipped with a carbide nipple on the handles. Most fire/rescue services have specially purposed carbide punches. The human elbow is far softer than rock, let alone carbide. If you tried to break tempered glass that way, you would almost certainly injure yourself without so much as scuffing the glass. Unless you equipped yourself with a carbide spur. GTA is fiction. Don’t try to do any of that stuff.
